Welcome back! 1/4 Update
Happy First day back!
I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year! Since we only have a little over two weeks left in the regular swim season I wanted to give you all a run down of the schedule!
January 4th- Declaring for our last tri-meet and declaring for county opens.
- -When declaring for County you should be choosing your BEST events- my state team members you should be choosing the events you would like to swim at state so that the Coaches can see where we stand. For county- your event choices are preferences but ultimately up to the coaches.
January 9th- Declaring for BOTH County and our Tri-Meet closes! We HAVE to have our county entries in by 1/14 for the heat sheet to be sent to USA Swimming.
January 10th- Senior dinner @ Tam’s Backstage (*Senior athletes only*)
January 13th- Tri-Meet with Denmark and West (warm-ups tentative for 5:30pm for those wanting to swim their club meet that day as well)
January 13th- Team dinner after the meet! (athletes will be responsible for their meal) and location is TBD!
January 17th and 19th – County Sign making in Loggins IF
January 19th- County Dinner in the dining hall @ 6:45pm *MANDATORY*
January 20th- Forsyth County Championship *ALL DAY* MANDATORY!!!!! Warm-Ups are set for 7:30AM and athletes will be EXPECTED to attend finals in the afternoon even if they are not swimming.
- -County is a SANCTIONED meet! For those who want their times to count for their clubs please submit your USA Swimming ID here: https://forms.gle/35uG2uBgC3zNhHCY7
- oWe will also need these ID’s for State so if you have made a state cut you also need to submit your swimming ID’s to this form. If you are not a club swimmer you will need to make a USA swimming account and they will generate a swimming ID for you.
- -County is MANDATORY! This is the grand finale of the season for most of our swimmers and divers and it is a long day but it is so FUN!
- -Diving will be in between pre-lims and finals after the senior recognition.
I will have way more information to come but this highlights the biggest pieces!
